Theatre lovers invited to Arabian Date Nights

Lovers of theatre should pile into the All Souls Anglican Church next month for Protea Stage Productions’ laugh-a-minute Arabian Date Nights.

Written and directed by cast member Donovan Margoczi, this comedic quest sees Aladdin and the Genie on a mission to find Aladdin a suitable princess.

They find her, but she’s not quite what they expected.

Protea chairperson Lynsay Jonker describes Arabian Date Nights as a pantomimic play that challenges the Disney tropes.

“It’s bound to have everyone rolling on the floor with laughter,” she said.
