The section of the N12 between Fochville and Potchefstroom that was temporarily closed after an accident earlier this morning (Tuesday August 25) has been reopened to traffic.

As far as could be determined, a truck overturned near Worsfontein at approximately 08:30.

The truck driver was transported to hospital by ER24. Members of the Fochville Fire Brigade, SAPS, Sanral and Droogtes Towing Services are currently at the scene.

The road is expected to be temporarily closed shortly to allow traffic officers and the towing service to remove the truck.

The exact circumstances surrounding the accident are not yet known.
