Christian primary school opening in Brackenhurst

Revival City College will offer smaller classes - don't miss the open day.

NEXT year will see the opening of Revival City College, a Christian primary school which will eventually cater for Grade R to Grade Seven, in the Brackenhurst area.

Initially the school will launch by opening Grade R, One and Two 2017. According to pastor Hannes van Zyl, senior pastor at Revival City Church, it is the church’s vision to have an impact on the lives of children and the community for Christ, through delivering quality education within a Christian context.

At present the building of the first stage of classes has been completed and the necessary health and municipal registrations and zoning have been obtained. Registration with the Department of Education is pending. Karen van den Oever, who has 32 years of experience in education, the last 19 of which have been as principal of Highveld Primary, will serve as the operational director.

According to Karen, Revival City College will follow the CAPS Curriculum, implementing Christian norms and principles, thereby ensuring that quality private education at a reasonable fee will be delivered by teachers who have a passion for their calling.

The College will also offer an aftercare facility run on the church premises, for parents who may find supervising their children after school and during holidays a challenge. This facility will offer the children lunch and will assist with homework supervision.

Revival City College will be hosting an open day on Saturday, June 11, from 09:00 to 13:00 where applications for enrolments may be made. For further information, contact Karen on 084 719 8112 or email info@revivalcitycollege.co.za or check out the website at www.revivalcitycollege.co.za. As class sizes for 2017 will not exceed 20 learners per class, spaces are limited, so do not delay!
