Fun in the sun

“We wowed everyone in Ballito, especially at the Lifestyle Shopping Centre where the dogs caused a sensation, so much so that we got coverage in the local North Coast Courier."

VISITING various old age homes, crèches and primary schools in the South is all in a day’s work for Jazmine, Oscar and Yogi, and recently they went on a working holiday to KwaZulu-Natal.

Staying at Paws for Thought (kennels with chalets where pet owners can stay with their pets) in Ballito, was their first stop and Sue Green, owner of the JOY dogs, said they were offered free accommodation because of the wonderful work the dogs do. “We wowed everyone in Ballito, especially at the Lifestyle Shopping Centre where the dogs caused a sensation, so much so that we got coverage in the local North Coast Courier.

“We then drove to the Wild Coast Sun for a one-day promotional appearance for Dulux at the Mica Market, an annual suppliers’ convention. Then it was back to Ballito for the long-awaited visit to the beach. The three of them had to be kept clean until their work was over. Oscar was particularly scared of the waves but they all enjoyed running around on the beach and posing in the new environment.

“The dogs handled the 1 700km trip really well and they loved the car but were happy to be home again, after a five-day trip,” added Sue.

Back from their ‘holiday’ they are ready to begin work again. If you are interested in seeing what they get up to and how they teach youngsters how important it is to care for pets, give Sue a call on 082 455 8634.
