Cluster Jozi police make big arrests

Johannesburg cluster SAPS and JMPD take no nonsense

JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – Brixton SAPS and JMPS held two joint operations at Kingsway Road, Auckland Park on Friday night until Saturday morning and arrested 43 suspects for drunken driving.

Moffatview SAPS and JMPD held an operation on Friday at La Rochelle until Saturday morning; the members arrested 15 suspects for drunken driving.

From Friday September 5 and Sunday September 7, Cluster Johannesburg police arrested 206 suspects for various crimes: assault; assault with GBH; assaulting police officers; attempted murder; armed robbery; attempted theft of motor vehicle; common robbery; drunken driving; dealing in drugs; driving without a driver’s license; fraud; failing to appear in court; illegal immigrant; malicious damage to property; possession of drugs; reckless and negligent driving; shoplifting; and theft.

SAPS communications officers are proud to report this significant number of arrests made within a short period of time.
