The CHRONICLE took to the streets to ask residents their views on moms and tots designated parking spaces at shopping centers and malls etc. Here are some of your views.
SIVUYILE LUUWAN: "Handling a baby and a pram is a lot of work for parents and this special parking is a good idea to make it safer. Toddlers will also know that their car is in sight and won't run off.”
GIFT MATLALA: “People at malls and shopping centres are often rushing and looking for parking so this will be a good idea to make it safer for mothers to manage a baby and a pram close to the mall entrance.”DAVID MAKIBINEY: “I am sure some centres already have parking spaces for mums with babies and toddlers and this is a good idea especially if mums are alone with their babies.”SAM MAHLABA: “Having special parking for the elderly and disabled is already a good idea and all centres should have that. Parking for mums and infants is also a good idea for safety reasons.”OLEBOGENG MASIANE: “I think special parking for mums with babies is a good idea because it will be much safer for parents with babies to access the malls and be close to the entrances to avoid other cars.”
