Mondeor CPF Sector 2 Domestic Watch meeting
Domestic workers learning more about panic buttons and remotes and how to safeguard them.
MONDEOR CPF Sector Two Domestic Watch meeting was held recently with domestic workers learning more about panic buttons and remotes and how to safeguard them.
Martin Barber from SOS Pro Tec Sure spoke to the group about how they must look after their remote and where to keep it while they are working.
“Your remote panic button must always be close to you and must be tested regularly. Remotes are battery operated and these batteries do go flat. Remote panic buttons are not waterproof and over time, water may leak into its housing and damage the remote.
“Phone your security company and advise them you are testing your panic buttons. Go outside into the garden and push the panic button, holding it down for two seconds. Phone your security company back to see if they received the signal. Repeat the same steps on all your remote and panic buttons,” Barber said.
“Do not be afraid of using your remote for whatever reason. If you feel scared or nervous, push your panic button and help is on its way,” he concluded.
The next Domestic Watch meeting will be held at Sasol Swartgoud on May 8 at 10am sharp. For more information, please phone Michelle Pelser on 084 292 9144.
