JRA approves rumble strips for Columbine Avenue and Swartgoud Street
Both Columbine Avenue and Swartgoud Street have in the past seen many accidents, some fatal.

AFTER a long battle by Ward 54 DA councillor Sergio Isa dos Santos, finally Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) have approved rumble strips for Columbine Avenue and Swartgoud Street, which will be installed soon in an attempt to reduce speeding and ultimately mitigate accidents.
“I received an official letter from Esther Schmidt, Pr. Eng Operations Manager: Traffic Engineering, stating, rumble strips are being looked into for various sections of Swartgoud Street and Columbine Avenue in the near future,” added dos Santos.
Both Columbine Avenue and Swartgoud Street have in the past seen many accidents, some fatal.
“This will indeed make a huge difference and hopefully will slow motorists’ speed down,” said a resident of Mondeor.
