Pet safety lessons for Top Kids Nursery School learners

“Thank you to the parents of our children here at Top Kids Nursery School who kindly donated much-needed cat and dog food."

TOP Kids Nursery School in Mondeor was visited by Kathy Raffray from Ban Animal Trading (BAT) on February 27.

The children were taught about pet safety and also how they should treat pets and other animals.

“All animals share the same feelings as people do,” said Kathy. The children also were able to watch two-week-old rescue kittens being bottle fed.

“Thank you to the parents of our children here at Top Kids Nursery School who kindly donated much-needed cat and dog food which BAT will deliver to PETS (Pets Empowerment in Townships),” Sam de Beer, principal of the nursery school, said.

The children also decorated posters for Lammie, the elephant who has been in captivity for 32 years in the Johannesburg Zoo.
