Ward councillors to hand over jerseys

"The jerseys are going to go out across Johannesburg with the help of ward councillors.”

Johannesburg councillors are on a drive to collect jerseys to keep the cold at bay.

The jerseys will be sorted according to size and then delivered to those in need in the different wards.

Ward 23 councillor Sarah Wissler explained that not only will councillors donate jerseys, but they will also assist in the handing out thereof.

Wissler said all the school jerseys are brand new, but rejected because of some colours were incorrect.

“These have been sitting in storage for quite some time, but Cater Promotions decided rather to donate it.  “We would like to thank to Judy of Cater Promotions for supplying us with all these wonderful jerseys to those who are in need,” she said.
