SOJO celebrates Christmas in July
SOJO supported Look Forward Foundation Orphanage and Stepping Stone Hospice with funds raised during their Christmas in July Fund-raiser.
Just what the doctor ordered – some Christmas cheer on the last day of July 2020.
South of Jo’Burg Business & Tourism Organisation (SOJO) brought their annual Christmas in July Fund-raiser to the organisations they elected to support this year, being the Look Forward Foundation Orphanage and Stepping Stone Hospice respectively.
Nicky Vakaloudis, CEO of SOJO, explained due to the Covid-19 pandemic their traditional Dinner and Dance Christmas in July party could not take place, but it didn’t stop their organisation to still reach out to their regular supporters to help them raise funds for their elected charities.
“We created our Party in a Box by asking members of the public to buy a virtual ticket for R150. The funds raised were put towards the cost of a meal and a blanket and toy distributed to our beneficiaries.”
SOJO also thanks Ginos Pizzeria for donating the food, 101 Rotary Jhb South for donating the blankets, Mall of the South for their generous donation plus the cakes and cupcakes, as well as Parkview Plumbing for their support.
