11 suspects arrested for different crimes, two vehicles recovered

The two recovered vehicles are a stolen white Hyundai H100 and a hijacked white Toyota Fortuner.

Johannesburg Flying Squad members arrested 11 suspects for different crimes in different areas in Johannesburg from July 7 to August 11.

During these operations, they recovered one Amarosi 38 special firearm and ammunition, as well as two hijacked and stolen vehicles.

Among the suspects arrested, one was arrested for possession of the stolen property, one for contravention of the Disaster Management Act, three suspects arrested for possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition, and six suspects for possession of drugs.

Johannesburg Flying Squad communications officer Raymond Sambo said the investigation continues in all cases.

“Working with the community led to these recoveries. The SAPS appreciates the public for their contribution.
“It should also be noted that for any information regarding the vehicles, people may contact the relevant detective quoting the relevant case number.

“Eleven suspects, aged between 25 and 33, appeared in different magistrate’s courts to face their respective charges,” he said.
