Fountain of Inspiration presented with R20 000
SOJO issued a R20 000 cheque to Fountain of Inspiration.
Fountain of Inspiration was a grateful recipient of R20 000, thanks to a recent golf day hosted by SOJO Business and Tourism.
According to SOJO Business and Tourism CEO Nicky Vakaloudis, the funds were raised during their annual golf day in November and their chosen charity was Fountain of Inspiration.
“We are excited to give the money towards the charity. They did an awesome job not only in the south of Johannesburg but also provincially.
“Fountain of Inspiration provides equipment like hospital beds, wheelchairs, crutches, and oxygen units for those who are ill and cannot afford them,” said Vakaloudis.
“We are happy to be part of their organisation and be able to give back to them. We wish we could have given more but we promise this will not be the end,” she said.
Vakaloudis expressed her hope that going forward they will create an awareness of Fountain of Inspiration and that more people will support them in order for them to continue to make a difference in people’s lives.
Yunus Jassat from Fountain of Inspiration said they were excited to be chosen as a beneficiary.
“All the members of the Fountain Inspiration are volunteers. Everything we do for the people is free of charge. All the equipment we supply for people who are not well is donated to them.
“We are extremely happy to receive this donation because it will help us in getting more of what we need to provide medical equipment for home-care use.
“We are forever grateful that SOJO noticed what we do to help in the community,” added Jassat.
