Residents receive keys to new accomodation
For many, it was a joyful moment when they received the keys to their new homes.
MMC for housing in the City of Johannesburg Mlungisi Mabaso officially handed over the keys to new tenants at the Union Square Social Housing Development on April 7.
“Union Square is one of JOSHCO’s inner-city developments targeted at residents who earn between R3 000 and R15 000 a month. It is a rental-only type of accommodation, encouraging a compact mixed-use urban system,” said Mabaso.
The 19-storey building has a total of 344 rental units (residential) and a ground floor that will be maintained as retail space.
