A golf day with a purpose

She was scouted by six international judges in October and qualified to attend the IMTA showcase.

Arianna Anachillam (16) is hosting a golf day with a difference on April 22.

This entrepreneur, youth empowerment and development activist, model and charity worker told the CHRONICLE the intention behind the golf day is not only to raise funds for her opportunity but also to bring charities on board.

Charity golf day

The golf day will take place at the Reading Golf Club on April 22 from 10.30am.

“We are collaborating with a few organisations (Sole2Sole, Books&Bras, Stepping Stone, Dignity Dreams to name a few). We plan to have a Drop and Go in the parking lot of Reading Golf Course,” said Arianna.

“This will ensure Covid-19 compliance and safety and will allow the youth the opportunity to serve the community by collecting donated goods, sanitising and then separating them for the different charities.”

The other aim of the golf day is for local companies to promote their businesses, by buying a hole at the golf day or sponsoring prizes.

The first prize winner for the four-ball can walk away with a four-night midweek stay at Sun City valued at R20 000.
“We are also collecting clothing, stationery, books, blankets and non-perishable items for this charity drive.”

A big opportunity

Arianna has received an opportunity to attend the International Modeling and Talent Association (IMTA) convention, which is to be held in July in Orlando.

She has since November held fund-raising initiatives to achieve her goal to get there, but ensuring along the way she gives back to the youth, small businesses in the area and the community.

She was scouted by six international judges in October and qualified to attend the IMTA showcase.

“I am a strong believer in combining my passion for talent, business and community to make a change in our world. A small difference today can change a life tomorrow,” she said.

More about her brand

Arianna is dedicated and passionate about her life.

“I believe putting my passions together will create something powerful and a better South Africa,” she said.

Her brand, Curly Curvy and Caramel, is a platform to empower others to feel confident and powerful in their skin by celebrating their natural beauty and embracing diversity.

“I am extremely passionate about the youth. Motivating the youth is the fuel for a successful generation. My drive is to come up with new initiatives to be able to help the community and encourage the youth. As a young businesswoman, I can connect with the youth and encourage them to follow their dreams within the business environment.

“I want to be the difference in the world. It may be a small difference today but tomorrow it may be a revolution. I will use this platform to change the mindsets that are governed by society,” she explained.
