Figures Model Finesse International Alberton recently held their first live social event in 18 months at the Bracken Park Hall.

The turnout of the students was phenomenal, and the atmosphere was filled with tangible excitement.

The theme was “A Day at the Races”.

Lights, camera, action, and the competition was on among the students.

The social event was divided into two separate shows for the juniors and the seniors.

Covid-19 protocols were in full force with the hall being sanitised between the two shows and strict social distancing was adhered to.

“The students walked in their relevant class groups for the beginner courses like trendy children for the juniors and deportment for the seniors to more advanced courses, such as the junior model, photographic model and runway model,” said Melanie van den Heever, owner of Figures Alberton.

Classmates voted for Miss Congeniality and Mr Personality in each class.

The vote is based on an individual with beauty, brains and, above all, one who is caring, kind and committed to attending classes.

The five judges judged the best-dressed students based on visual impact and originality according to the chosen theme.

“They had a tough job deciding on the winners as the students were very creative with their outfits.”

Melanie would like to thank every student and their parents for their support and for making this first social event of 2021 a huge success.

“We look forward to many more fantastic events during this year. Youth development is our passion,” she said.
