WATCH: Cansa Shavathon brings companies together

Many staff members of Uniclox have been affected by cancer and the company felt it needed to participate in raising funds for the Cancer Association of South Africa (Cansa) by hosting a Shavathon event on April 16.

“This is our way to honour those that we lost. We want cancer patients to know that we care about them,” said CEO of Uniclox Sophia Hislop.

It was their first Cansa Shavathon event and it was a heartwarming time where everyone participated with such enthusiasm and brought a smile to everyone’s faces.

“We decided to make it a group effort among companies that wanted to participate and it was fun for all of us to get together for such an important initiative.

“We would also like to go bigger and better with regards to promoting the event via various marketing platforms to get more people to participate,” said Hislop.

Due to its success, they will consider hosting the event in the future again.
