Local shares her load-shedding concerns
A local has shared her concerns, demanding an explanation from the City of Ekurhuleni following the ongoing load-shedding and power outages.
With regards to the City of Ekurhuleni and Eskom, we demand both entities to explain to the public why they have to face so many challenges regarding electricity supply in the whole of Ekurhuleni.
Some of the town’s payments made to the metro exceed 100 per cent, for example, Alberton.
In this town, we have most of the businesses and companies that suffer due to load-shedding and power outages.
This is unacceptable as these companies and businesses provide jobs for the citizens of Alberton and surrounding areas. At present, our unemployment rate in the country is 42 per cent and we cannot afford more job losses.
Alberton and surrounding areas like Palm Ridge face power outages daily. Mr Mayor is this fair to the residents of Ekurhuleni?
