Information regarding a silver Toyota Corolla that was involved in a business robbery in Bassonia was received and Fox Security immediately reacted.
“The vehicle was identified driving on Kliprivier Drive and when some of our officers tried to pull the vehicle over the suspects sped away,” said Francois Jansen, operations director from Fox Security.
During the high-speed chase, the suspect shot multiple shots at the officers’ vehicles.
“We returned fire and the suspect lost control over his vehicle and collided on the highway. The suspect immediately jumped out of his vehicle and ran into the bushes.”
Officers then ran after the suspect and captured him.
The suspect’s vehicle was searched and officers found the stolen stock.
According to Jansen, they found out that the suspect is wanted for another business robbery in Midrand. The arrested suspect was taken to Mondeor SAPS.
