Police raise awareness on gender-based violence

Law enforcement authorities will be handing out pamphlets to the public.

Booysens SAPS officer Col Petrus Dlomo welcomed all role players to Booysens SAPS for a 16 Days of Activism for No Violence against Women and Children campaign on December 9.

Stations from the old Johannesburg Central Cluster, Mondeor, Booysens, Fairlands, Moffat View, Brixton along with FCS, Love Life, TPS Security, Reaper Security, Guardian Angel’s Security, CPF patrollers, JMPD and Women’s Network will be doing patrols in the policing precinct and handing out pamphlets at the malls.

Booysens SAPS communications officer Capt Lorraine van Emmerik said the focus will be on gender-based violence. Past Joshua and Past Jolene opened the day with prayer.
