A 30-year-old woman was stabbed to death at Forest Hill on January 8.
Booysens SAPS communication officer Capt Lorraine van Emmerik confirmed that they are investigating a case of murder and attempted murder.
She said the suspect is in police custody after he was briefly admitted to hospital.
“More information will be available as the investigation is still going on,” she said.
