The Thaba Eco-Challenge is a family fun charity event based at Thaba Trails that aims to become an annual highlight in the South.
The event will be a mountain bike and trail run/walk and is powered by Balwin Properties and Group 1 Nissan The Glen.
This is a SOJO (South of Joburg Business and Tourism) initiative to bring large scale events to the South.
SOJO supports local charities and will also be hosting a charity drive on the day for the four local charities namely, Dignity Dreams, Stepping Stones Hospice and Care Centre, Rotary Johannesburg South 101 and Outreach Care.
Activities on the day
• MTB Challenge
• One lap (15km) R100pp
• Two laps (30km) R200pp
• Four laps (60km) R300pp
• 5km run/walk R70pp
• 10km run/walk R100pp
• Corporate packages are available on request.
Registration will open at 08:00 with the challenge starting from 09:00 to 09:30. The challenge is managed by STRAVA.
Great prizes from UVEX Sports South Africa, Thaba Eco Hotel, Del Forno Lemon Tree and more are up for grabs.
Every person who goes through the finish line will receive a medal.

Entertainment
Make sure to visit the Foods of the World Village and beer garden and browse through the market.
There will also be a power car and Nissan Navara display and let’s not forget the live entertainment and kiddies play area.
