Grace Daycare and Aftercare Team’s 10th birthday
A big birthday celebration party was held for Grace Daycare and Aftercare Team's 10th birthday.
Grace Daycare and Aftercare Team in Randhart celebrated their 10th birthday on January 28 and they described it as a decade of grace and blessings.
The school started with the story of the five loaves and two fish.
“My child wanted to read the story of five loaves and two fish every night, little did I know it would be the start of our journey to realise the dream of starting our nursery school,” said Adele de Klerk.

“We celebrated our 10th birthday at school with the children where we had a great fun day with a jumping castle, cake, various fun activities, cotton candy and an ice cream truck from The Knickerboxer Ice Cream Company (part of the Coffee Bean Cafe),” said Adele.
Each child could choose seven different flavours of “artisan” ice cream.
According to Adele, it was a fun-filled day for everyone, and a lot of new memories were created.
How it all began
“Our Heavenly Father has pressed it on our hearts to open a nursery school where the children are educated in a Christian environment and not only on an educational level but also on a spiritual level for God’s Kingdom.
“We had a vision and Father provided in every aspect of our lives. The five loaves and two fishes indicate that our Heavenly Father will always provide and that there will always be abundance.
“In Matthew 14:18-20 it says ‘Bring them here to me’ and then the Lord commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass. And He took the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke and gave the loaves to the disciples. The disciples then gave it to the multitudes. So they all ate and were filled, and they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments that remained,” Adele explained.
The school’s logo is five children that indicate God’s grace and that is why the school’s name is Grace Daycare and Aftercare Team.
“The number five means God’s grace, our scripture I received for the school is Ephesians 2:8 which says ‘For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not from yourselves it is the gift of God’.”
A heartfelt thank you
“Thank you so much to everyone who has supported us through the 10 years and thanks to you for every blessing. All glory goes to our Heavenly Father,” Adele concluded.
