South Crest family thanks neighbours for support
South Crest family encourages communities to hold hands after continually receiving support from their generous neighbours.
How many of us know our neighbours these days? Most of us complain about our differences as neighbours.
We are quick to respond to negative comments without compromising to accommodate each other. Besides your family, your neighbours are the ones that should ‘have your back’ during struggles and joyous celebrations.
We are residents of South Crest and are proud to know our neighbours. We take care of each other’s safety, sorrows, illness and happiness.
We do small acts like taking each other’s bins in or sharing cakes and medication. Covid-19 brought us closer after many years of only greeting each other at the gate.
As the Gaffoor family, we would like to thank Oom Neels and Tanie Maria Bodenstein for their support, love and advice over the years. We are truly blessed to have neighbours that go out of their way to help us and the little things we do for them is not enough, but we can only love you for being so amazing.
I would like everyone to introduce themselves and thank their neighbour. A simple garden rose and a thank you will make their day and you could also become good neighbours in the future.
We all need people like the Bodenstein in our lives.
Nadia Gaffoor
