Catching up with Mr and Mrs Bigbite

The most important parts of their businesses for them are family, relationships and empowering others.

TikTok sensations Warren and Misha Daniel, or as their fans know them, Mr and Mrs Bigbite, are social media influencers from the South of Joburg that turned simple posts on TikTok into an everyday business.

The CHRONICLE recently caught up with this power couple to find out more about how they started and their plans for the future.

Warren and Misha have been married for 12 years and have two children.

Both have their own businesses.

Warren’s is BigBite Consulting and specialises in digital marketing for companies. Like most industries, Bigbite took a knock during the pandemic, with the company losing most of its clientele.

Warren and Misha both contracted the virus as well, forcing them to leave their children with family members to prevent them from getting Covid-19. Warren contracted Covid-19 that saw him being hospitalised.

At this stage, it looked like he would not make it, but he pulled through and after 28 days in hospital he was released.

Misha had her own nail bar, but due to the pandemic, the shop was forced to close. She has since started her own business called Mrs BigBite Beauty, which she started after doing make-up reviews on social media. Originally Misha reviewed make-up and products from Clicks and Dis-Chem, so she approached the companies but was, unfortunately, rejected. She then decided to start selling the products she reviewed on her website.

Warren started using social media as a business tool in 2012.

Since Warren and Misha started utilising social media, they have been used several times for motivational talks as well as being mentors for the Primestar children’s programme.

The most important parts of their businesses for them are family, relationships and empowering others.
Misha is working with Group 1 Renault, The Glen and Woolworths to help promote both companies, while Warren is working with Group 1 Nissan, The Glen.

As for future plans for the couple, Mr BigBite has launched a product called The Sauce, which helps boost petrol cars’ performance, and Mrs BigBite aims to launch her own skincare line.

“Be consistent when it comes to your social media presence. Fame doesn’t just happen overnight. It took me 100 videos before I was able to get a sponsor,” was Misha’s advice to young entrepreneurs looking to go in the same direction.

“Stop saying ‘I don’t have time for social media then spend hours scrolling on it’. Times are changing and so is the way business is being done,” said Warren.
