Pikitup’s operational schedule on Workers’ Day
Take the bin outside on May 2 for collection.
Pikitup, the waste management company of the City of Johannesburg, will conduct waste removal services on Workers’ Day (May 1).
However, because this year’s Workers’ Day falls on a Sunday, the Workers’ Day holiday will be observed on May 2.
Therefore, residents whose waste collection days are on May 2 are urged to place their waste bins outside their properties for collection.
Pikitup in Southdale and Selby depot with be operational for refuse collection, garden sites and CBD areas street cleaning.
Muzi Mkhwanazi, Pikitup spokesperson, said they are appealing to residents to dispose of their excess waste at its garden sites that are situated in all the seven regions of the City.
