Calling all runners and walkers

Runners and walkers are invited to take part in Alberton’s popular road races to take part on November 13.

The excitement is building for Alberton’s popular 10km and 21km road races taking place on November 13 at the Alberton Rugby Stadium.

The event has been hosted since 1987 when it was known as the Winning Post Half Marathon.

This year, with the support of local businesses such as PureGas, The Cricket Company, Mawer & Delport, Paul James and 32Gi, the race is set to be better than ever.

If you are a casual runner looking to run your first race or taking the step up from parkrun to a 10km, the race is ideal. It is mostly flat with a long downhill section towards the end. It is also a route for seasoned runners looking to run a new personal best time. Finishers are to be awarded medals.

Walkers are welcome to take part in the 10km distance and there is also a 4km fun run option available.
