Pink Day celebrated at Herbert Park Bowling Club

The Pink Day was a success as the team, members of the public and sponsors came together to raise funds

Wendy Page and her team were honoured to be involved this year in helping with the Tersia Landman Pink Day at Herbert Park Bowling Club, Turffontein.

Tersia Landman started this cancer drive nine years ago. After fighting breast cancer, she has been in remission for three years now.

Tersia understands the cost that is involved with the treatments. The money raised at the Pink Day is handed over to Stepping Stone Hospice & Care Services.

They had teams from the Scottish Freemasons, Gallons, Ridge Park Bowling Club, Turffontein Bowling Club and Herbert Park Bowling Club bringing everyone together to raise funds for cancer.

The flea market had a variety of products that could be bought and the members that joined the potjiekos competition sponsored the food to feed bowlers and visitors.

Landman and her team thanked their sponsors: Turf Pet Hyper, TPS, Debbie’s Hair, Just Brand it, Mr Gas, Fire &Ice, Gino’s, Butcher Boy’s, Lupa, Turn & Tender, Chantene’s Massage, Harry Pizza – Grill and Take Out, La Vida Vodka and Light House Water.

They would also like to thank the public and members who attended and donated.
