Waterstone College celebrates connection at Sunset Braai 2026

The vibrant event saw parents, learners, and staff celebrate school spirit with food, music, and unforgettable moments of connection.

More than 2 100 parents and friends joined 1 300 learners at Waterstone College’s Sunset Braai 2026, a massive annual community event held at the school. The celebration took place on the football field, where families, learners, and staff came together for a festive evening filled with braaiing, music and strong school spirit.

The event is known for celebrating the school’s ‘fire’, a symbol of its strong community spirit. Throughout the evening, the atmosphere was alive with singing, cheering, and dancing, while the smell of braai added to the warm, festive mood.

Learners performed energetically, while parents and friends showed their support from the sidelines. The event created a space where families could connect and enjoy time together.

What made the evening even more special was the strong sense of togetherness. Waterstone College once again showed that it is more than just a place of learning. It is a community where people come together to share experiences and create lasting memories.

The school expressed its gratitude to the many parents who attended in such large numbers.

“Their continued support plays an important role in keeping our school spirit alive and strong. Their presence helped make the event a true celebration of unity and pride,” said the school.
