Learners turn out to explore new after-school learning programmes
Corinthians Africa aims to build more learning initiatives.
Corinthians in La Rochelle opened a new hub for tech-driven education, the STEAM Centre, on April 27, in partnership with Corinthians Africa.
The STEAM Centre is an educational hub that provides after-school support and specialised programmes in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) for children.
The event drew parents, educators, and learners eager to explore the centre’s programmes.
Attendees were introduced to a range of initiatives designed to bridge schoolwork with future skills, including after-school homework assistance and metaverse learning featuring virtual reality and 3D experiences.
Demonstrations were a key focus of the day. The C-Tech Innovation Hub showcased 3D Digital Twinning, while Lwazi Tech at Home presented its finance literacy programme, designed to equip learners with practical financial management skills.

The Sun Tech Expo Showcase gave visitors a broader look at emerging technology applications in education.
EITA staff, alongside representatives from Corinthians Africa, engaged directly with families and school representatives, delivering educational presentations about the centre’s STEAM programmes.
Visitors had the opportunity to explore the facility, engage with the team, and register learners for upcoming sessions. The launch highlighted strong community interest in accessible, hands-on tech education.
The EITA STEAM Centre will now offer its programmes to learners in Johannesburg South, with registrations continuing following the open day. For more information, the centre can be contacted on 063 015 6144, 068 853 77063, or via email at sinesipho@corinthians.africa
