Councillor spends time helping children’s home

“No matter what he or she does, every person on earth plays a central role in the upbringing of a child,” said Ward 57 Clr Faeeza Chame.

Ward 57 Clr Faeeza Chame recently visited Look Forward Creativity Centre in South Hills.

This centre was established over 15 years ago. She said it has gone through great trials and tribulations.

“The home is currently hosting over 21 children aged from two weeks and older. The founder of this home, Sister Beatrice, is actively involved in the home.

“I personally give my time to this home which I don’t regret because it is a valuable time. We have seen children leave the nest and have become prominent leaders in their own right. They have left the home with discipline and respect, knowing what it is to have caregivers and house mothers sharing their love with them.

“I would like to pledge anyone out there if you are able to contribute to this home to get in contact with them. No matter what he or she does, every person on earth plays a central role in the upbringing of a child. We must create great leaders to have a better future for tomorrow,” she said.

Look Forward Creativity Centre is at 10 Messina Street, South Hills and they can be contacted on 011 613 1226, 071 839 6447, info@lookforward.org.za or lookforwardfounation@gmail.com
