Beware of fraudulent job advertisements – Pikitup

The official Pikitup website is the only channel to apply for jobs.

Pikitup issued a public warning regarding a fraudulent job advertisement circulating on social media platforms and various online job sites.

The deceptive advertisement falsely claims that Pikitup is hiring general workers, specifying application requirements and listing a closing date of June 25.

This fake advertisement appears to be an altered version of a legitimate job posting Pikitup issued in May 2024, which closed on June 10, 2024.

Pikitup urges the public to exercise extreme caution and not engage with this misleading advertisement, as it enables fraudsters to exploit desperate job seekers by selling non-existent positions.

Pikitup managing director Bukelwa Njingolo expressed concern over the misuse of social media, saying: “It is deeply troubling that individuals are using social media to deceive job seekers looking for employment opportunities. These deceitful acts exploit vulnerable individuals and have the potential to disrupt Pikitup’s operations.”

Pikitup reiterates its commitment to transparency in all hiring processes. It advises the public to verify all job openings exclusively through the official Pikitup website.
