Park Senior bids farewell to over 70 years of combined experience

The principal is grateful to have served the community of Turffontein.

Retiring principal Jaya Munsami sent a heartfelt thank you to the Tutffontein and Park Senior School community.

After 39 years in education, including 26 years as principal of Park Senior School, she bids farewell with a full and grateful heart, as she retired on March 27.

“Serving the Turffontein community has been one of the greatest honours of my life. To the parents, past and present, thank you for your trust, loyalty, and partnership.

“To every learner who has walked through our gates, you have been my daily inspiration and greatest joy.
“I am deeply grateful to the staff who have supported me in building a school rooted in care, respect, and excellence,” she said.

Munsami also sent a special word of thanks to Essak Dada, the deputy principal, who retired along with her after more than 15 years of dedicated service. “His leadership and commitment have made a lasting impact.

“I also wish to acknowledge our groundsman Sam Shingwenyana, who retires after over 20 years of loyal service as part of our ground floor. His quiet dedication will always be remembered.

“This journey has been truly meaningful and impactful. Thank you, Turffontein and Park Senior School, for allowing me to serve. I leave with deep gratitude and pride in all we have achieved together,” she noted.
