Southern Suburbs Hindu Cultural Society calls for winter donations
The Southern Suburbs Hindu Cultural Society has encouraged all residents to take part in this meaningful initiative.
The Southern Suburbs Hindu Cultural Society’s annual Winter Collection Drive is in its final stretch this year, and they are calling on the public to support those in need during the colder months.
The collection drive ends on June 22. The society appeals to residents across the southern suburbs and surrounding areas to contribute generously and help bring relief to vulnerable individuals and families.
This year, the drive focuses on collecting essential items that can make a real difference in the lives of the less fortunate.
Donations accepted include blankets, old and new clothes, groceries, cash donations, and any other usable items that can help those in need.
Over the years, the Winter Collection Drive has supported several well-known charitable organisations and community groups.
Past beneficiaries include The Love of Christ Ministries (TLC), The Salvation Army, Johannesburg Children’s Home, Lenasia Old Age Home, other charity organisations, and the homeless community.
These partnerships have helped extend care and support to many individuals facing hardship.
The society has expressed deep appreciation for the continued generosity of donors and volunteers, noting that every contribution, no matter how small, helps bring warmth and dignity to someone during winter.
