Box Office fights for Cancer

Box Office will stage a tournament to raise funds.

BOXING has often been used as a vehicle to get an emotional message across and raise awareness. Two incredible young men, Dario Familiar and Dino Familiar, who trains at Manny Fernandes BRD Boxing Academy, came to Southern Suburbs and asked to help them put with an event together.

The aim is to raise funds for a charity since it is the month of cancer awareness. Southern Suburbs boys all jumped at the chance to help out and an event was constructed for the Familiar boys and those affected by cancer like their mom.

On Friday March 28 at Southern Suburbs at the Penalty Box soccer grounds, an open air event with ten of the hottest fighters from Southern Suburbs will take place including the Boxing Club, with Luco Mbece, Siya Mbena, Arthur Hall, Tino Parastrello, Benjamin Courtenay, Dino and Dario Familiar, Warren Le Roux, Shane Badenhorst, Troy de Paiva and Reggie Magashoa.

Southern Suburbs have produced some great fighters and two professional superstars, Paul Kamanga and Josh Roos, will be there for the event, which will also include a few auction items for the charity and an after party at the Penalty Box Pub.

The entrance costs R50 and includes entry to the party. Call Anton for more information on the fights at 083 653 0190.
