Lifestyle Alberton bows the knee to Pirates

Pirates took home six victories.

Lifestyle Alberton Rugby Club took on Pirates in Alberton on April 23 in the Golden Lions Rugby Union Pirates Grand Challenge.

What started out as a tough encounter between two of well-known clubs of the Grand Challenge, the Elande (Lifestyle Alberton’s first rugby team) defended hard and applied pressure on Pirates XV.

Pirates ran in a couple of good tries, winning 36 -17.

Justin Liebenberg scored the first try for Alberton against the Pirates.

The other results were:

• Lifestyle Alberton u-19s lost 54-12.

• Lifestyle Alberton u-21s lost 24-20.

• The fourth team lost 28-7 against the Pirates.

• Pirates Rugby Club’s third team won 33-11

• Lifestyle Alberton’s second team lost 38-0.
