Rewlatch Primary School won the 10th annual Horizon Soccer Tournament on May 24.
Horizon International High School in Stafford hosted the annual primary school soccer tournament. Twenty-two primary schools from Johannesburg south and beyond participated in this year’s tournament.
Teams consisted of seven players per team for Grade Seven and U13s.
Organiser Adam Mbele said this year’s tournament was special because it marked 10 years of this tournament.

“Congratulations to Rewatch Primary, who won this year’s tournament after a hard-fought victory in the final against Rosettenvile Central Primary by 2-0. Also congratulations as well to the bronze medal winners Park Senior Primary who won on penalties against Mulbarton Primary.

“The aim and the purpose of this tournament is to create cohesion and harmony among schools and the community. Horizon International High School would like to thank and congratulate all the participants who participated in this year’s tournament. Until we see each other again next year,” he said.
