Bassonia JKA karate students shine with 102 medals
102 medals represent championship success.
Bassonia JKA karate students made a significant impact at the recent Karate Syndicate Championships, held on August 2 at the Bracken Park Community Hall, securing an impressive 102 medals.
The event drew close to 200 competitors and almost 400 entries across 75 divisions, with over 300 medals awarded overall.
Bassonia JKA’s outstanding achievement highlights the dojo’s growing presence and competitive spirit.
Senior instructor Karyn Smith praised the high standard of karate displayed at the championships, particularly in the senior black belt divisions.
“The standard was exceptional this year, especially in the senior black belt divisions. We are proud of the effort our students put in and the results they achieved,” Smith said.
