Carols by candle light in a beautiful setting
"Help us spread the love this Christmas, please spread the word."
KIM Kidson, a therapist from Alberton, will be hosting a Carols by Candlelight event on December 10 at Autumn Leaves Farm, just off the R82, en-route to Walkerville.
This will be done on behalf of Calvary Christian Church.
The event will start at 18:30 and the entrance fee will be a food parcel filled with non-perishable food items – which will be distributed by the Walkerville house church to carefully selected families, to ensure they have Christmas with a difference this year, hopefully filled with love and encouragement.
“The setting is under the stars on rolling lush green lawn on a horse farm, where people can breathe in some fresh air and enjoy nature as God intended us to, within the safety of an enclosed ‘security’ boomed-off area,'” said Kim. “Come and meet the horses and have photos taken with ‘Bella’ the cow; come to get into the festive season spirit with us. What a way to start the holidays,” she added.
Boerewors rolls, cold drinks and popcorn will be on sale before the carols begin; and the profit from these sales will be going towards purchasing bibles to give to those families mentioned above – to accompany the food parcels.
“Help us spread the love this Christmas; please spread the word,” Kim concluded.
