Lord of the Dance comes to Joburg
The Pop-up workshops are for everyone to enjoy, whether you are a dancer, dance enthusiast or simply want to experience our world on stage.
LORD of the Dance Dangerous Games introduces the Pop-Up Michael Flatley Dance Academy Workshops with the 2017 South Africa tour of Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games, beginning in August at Montecasino!
The Pop-up workshops are for everyone to enjoy, whether you are a dancer, dance enthusiast or simply want to experience the world of dancers on stage. The hour-long workshops will include a welcome from the teachers, followed by a chance to learn the Michael Flatley Dance steps on stage, then a sneak peek behind the scenes and, finally, a question-and-answer session with members of the cast. The workshops are open to everyone from children to adults.
Participants will be grouped according to their ability. The professional dancers will give you a taste of what it is like to pursue a career in dance. If it is your ambition to try out your dancing talents on stage, then be sure to give it a go, as the team is always on the lookout for new talent. Be ready as the team teaches you the basics and you will get to meet the talented cast and ask them the questions you’ve always wanted to ask.
The workshops will take place in selected theatres in South Africa where the Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games cast will be performing.
You can make a day of it and purchase tickets to watch the cast perform in the matinee or evening show on the same day. The cast will be at The Teatro at Montecasino on August 19.
