RCCI is a runner-up in the 2017 Chamber of the Year awards

RANDBURG – The Randburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry is proud to announce that they were runners-up in the Chamber of the Year award for 2017.

The Randburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) is proud to announce that it is a runner-up in the 2017 Chamber of the Year awards.

The SA Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Sacci) held its Chamber of the Year awards, a prestigious award, given to chambers which excel in areas of performance, achievement and service during the year.

The winners are picked by external business entities selected by Sacci.

The annual competition is only open to registered and affiliated chambers of the Sacci family.

President of the RCCI, Neil Pollock said, “We are proud to say that we ticked all the boxes required and even more so [with] our proud and bountiful submission this year.

“I would like to take this time to thank Linda Blackbeard and Linda Holtes for the amazing job they have done to ensure that we received this recognition.”

Newly elected Sacci Chamber Forum Chairperson and Randburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry CEO, Linda Blackbeard was supported at the awards by an elected team of executive volunteers from within the business community.

Blackbeard chairs the Sacci Chamber forum meetings held each quarter, where chambers meet to discuss various matters affecting local business and share opportunities for business as a whole.

Pollock commended the work Blackbeard has done and said, “Linda has a strong passion and commitment to a strict code of good business practice with transparency and integrity.

“We are very proud of her achievement and are delighted to have her right on our doorstep leading and guiding our chambers and our chamber members through any difficult times ahead.”

Linda Holtes was appointed to the Sacci board of directors in November.

Pollock commented, “We are extremely proud of the work Linda Holtes has done… She will control all forms of import and export along with trade and investment,

“She will also manage all Dirco approved training and is the only Women in Africa who is accredited by the ICC to execute this training.”
