Barbeque Downs rally drivers on the move
BARBEQUE DOWNS - RALLY drivers of Barbeque Downs are rallying up points against rival teams in the South African National Rally Championship in Gauteng.
Defending champions Mark Cronje and Robin Houghton of Ford Dealer Fiesta S2000, who are based in Barbeque Downs, won the Ford Dealer Rally in Gauteng.
This opened a 25-point lead over nearest national rally championship challengers, Jan Habig and Robert Paisley of Basil Read Ford Fiesta S2000.
It was their second successive victory, and with four wins and an eighth place in the five rounds so far, they have a total of 113 points with three rounds remaining.
Toyota Motorsport team-mates Giniel de Villiers and Greg Godrich, also of Barbeque Downs, place fourth driving an Imperial Toyota Yaris S2000.
