Cocktail party reaps rewards

BARBEQUE DOWNS - Marks, massages and motivational talks were all the rave at Ward 93's ladies evening held at Da Vincenzo Restaurant in Barbeque Downs.

Ward 93 ended off women’s month with a touch of glam and fun as women of all ages enjoyed a cocktail evening for charity.

The evening, organised by Ward 93 councillor Annette Deppe, and ward committee member and chairperson of Barbeque Downs Candice James, saw women donate stationery for pupils of Zonkizizwe School in Kaalfontein.

Juan Rieder and Kerstin Krieg of Pure Massage Studio and Mobile Therapists ensured all the women were stress-free with neck and shoulder massages.

The women tested out their stamina as they learnt pole dancing skills. A pop-up booth, photo booth and the dos and don’ts of make-up and fashion were part of the fun.
Cocktails flowed and the laughter resounded throughout the evening.

During August, Sunninghill Spar sold ‘I am an extraordinary woman’ badges and the profits will also benefit Zonkizizwe School.
