Residents mobalise against crime
PAULSHOF - Residents start own residents association to fight crime.

A group of concerned Paulshof Hill residents are taking action against crime.
The ‘unofficial’ Paulshof Hill residents association, which operates as a working group, has tried to implement various methods of crime reduction in the area but now wish to formalise the association – so they can turn their big plans into action.
Residents are invited to a public meeting on 2 October at 6:30pm at the Mugg and Bean at Cambridge Crossing, where nominations will be made for a formalised Paulshof Hill Residents Association.
The association’s working group will also discuss some of their potential plans for Paulshof Hill, such as having a clearly identified patrol vehicle which will also provide armed response, a CCTV camera at the entrance to Paulshof Hill and a restricted access boom at the Umkomaas entrance to Paulshof Hill.
Chairperson of the Paulshof Hill residents association working group, Lita Jacobsen, said, “We are a dedicated group of volunteers that have been working on reducing crime in the area for the past two to three years, but ultimately it is for the residents to have their say. That’s why we encourage residents to attend the public meeting so that these plans can be discussed with all the residents of Paulshof Hill.”
