The building opened with the start of the 2014 academic year and Ward 93 councillor Annette Deppe visited the school to wish the teachers and pupils well for the school year.
Learning was underway as the classrooms were filled with the sounds of pupils counting their times tables and acting in drama class. The new building also boasts a gym, library and art class. Each classroom has a plasma screen to enhance the teaching on the whiteboards.
Each classroom faces a grass patch with two large beaded rhinos. The Grade 1 Rhino class with teacher Taryn Smuts took the opportunity to get their class photo taken with Deppe.
