A place in the shade for Cluny Farm

CLUNY FARM - Residents received a welcome donation of sun hats.

The working farm in Kyalami houses adults with mental disabilities, and residents have various tasks to perform on the farm each day. These may include milking cows, feeding chickens, cultivating the vegetable gardens and helping to eradicate invasive plants and weeds from the pastures.

All these tasks take place under the harsh Highveld sun, and director of Emthunzini Hats, Gilly Ord felt that a donation of sun hats would be extremely beneficial to the residents. She explained that these particular hats have been awarded the Cancer Association of South Africa seal of recognition.
