Little Earth Kids Preschool honours staff on teachers’ day
Little Earth Kids Preschool celebrated teachers’ day by treating its dedicated staff to food, gifts and heartfelt appreciation for the role they play in nurturing and educating young children.
Little Earth Kids Preschool staff enjoyed a special treat, thoughtful gifts and messages of appreciation from parents on teachers’ day in recognition of their role in shaping young children’s lives.
The school celebrated the day on its front playground by honouring its staff for their daily care, dedication and support. Staff were treated to meals from The Great Gatsby Food Truck, courtesy of Jono, and received gifts funded through contributions to the school’s PC fund from appreciative parents.

Principal Jenny de Kock said the celebration was an opportunity to recognise every staff member, including teachers, assistants, cooks, cleaners and maintenance staff. “At Little Earth Kids we celebrate every staff member. Children don’t just learn their ABCs from us – they learn kindness, patience, love, manners, resilience and how to be part of a family from every single adult in our building,” she said.
De Kock added that she felt privileged to lead a team that consistently went above and beyond to create a happy and safe environment for the children. “I have a team who loves your children as their own. Who shows up every day with big hearts, even on tough days. Who never lets anything get in the way of giving your children a happy, safe, magical day,” she said.

The appreciation extended beyond the gifts and food, with teachers reflecting on the relationships they have built with the children and their families. Teacher Livia Bihl said the celebration reminded her of how much she valued her work and the opportunity to be part of the children’s lives. “To get to love, cuddle, teach and laugh with your precious little souls every single day is the greatest gift of all,” she said. She thanked parents for their generosity and support, describing Little Earth Kids as a special family of which she felt fortunate to be a part.

Teacher Asha Rupnarain echoed these sentiments, saying she treasured watching the children grow, discover the world and develop their individual personalities. “Watching them grow, learn, discover the world, find their little personalities and become more confident each day is something I treasure more than words can express,” she said.
Rupnarain added that the support of parents helped make the preschool feel like more than just a school. “It truly feels like a little family,” she said.
