Conservancy hosts meeting
KYALAMI - THE Greater Kyalami Conservancy will be talking hedgehogs, development and biodiversity before electing a new committee at its annual general meeting.

The conservancy will host its meeting at Beaulieu College’s pavillion on 15 April at 6.30pm with the theme, The Importance of Urban Conservation.
All community members are welcome to attend.
Jessica Artingstall, who has a Masters of Science degree in Zoology, will address the meeting to present on The Goldilocks Effect: Pricky South African Hedgehogs. She will share her findings of the importance of conserving urban hedgehog populations found in Kyalami and Paulshof.
The conservancy will also discuss various development applications, as well as points discussed at the meeting between the conservancy committee and the city council. The chairperson’s report and financial report will be revealed as well as an update on the conservancy’s biodiversity project.
An amendment to the membership structure will also be proposed. The committee will propose that residents’ associations join as members of the conservancy. However, individual memberships for residents who are not members of a residents’ association will be available too. The committee will also propose that only those members who are property owners or members of a residents’ association will be granted voting power in the Greater Kyalami Conservancy.
Residents who want to get involved with the conservancy and stand on the committee can contact the chairperson of the Greater Kyalami Conservancy, Kristin Kallesen.
