Movie night for homeless pets
FOURWAYS - Woodrock Animal Rescue have joined forces with Animaltalk Magazine and Ster Kinekor to host a movie night on 22 May.
Woodrock is situated on the R511 and is a pro-life animal rescue shelter. The shelter’s mission is to save abused animals, rescue lost and abandoned animals and rehabilitate them. Currently the shelter is feeding about 100 dogs and cats at the centre, and they feed another 80 animals in surrounding townships.
Woodrock advocates the importance of inoculations, de-worming and sterilisation. They do regular awareness training in townships and schools to educate children and people about the proper care of pets.
The movie night will feature a screening of The Legends of Oz. The movie is a fun story about a young girl who journeys to a troubled, magical land after her house is devastated by a tornado.
The movie night will take place at Cedar Square Shopping Centre at 7:30 pm. The entrance fee is a donation and a tin or bag of pet food, toy, treat or pet blanket.
