Little saints walk on the wild side

KENGIES - The pupils of Little Saints Pre-primary School in Kengies took a walk on the wild side when Hartebeespoort Snake and Animal Park paid a visit to the school.

To the delight of all the pupils, Sharon du Plessis of the park brought along two adorable hedgehogs, a friendly California king snake, a cheeky baboon and two gorgeous female lion cubs. All the animals were babies and were therefore just the right age to interact with the toddlers of Little Saints. The animals were met with awe as well as a bit of trepidation from some of the pupils. However, Du Plessis allowed each and every pupil to have interaction with the animals and also talked about each animals’ habits and instincts.

By the end of the informative talk all the pupils wanted to have a turn to play with the cute creatures.
